'Traisenblut' is a rare Hildewintera hybrid with a story behind it — a cross of H. 'Helms Neue' x H. 'Friedrich Ritter', hybridized by Dr. Irmfried Buchmann. And it's as impressive as its pedigree suggests. This large, well-rooted plant is 19+ inches tall with new stems already emerging, cascading in its signature cylindrical basket growth adorned with many small golden spines.
In spring, it becomes a profuse bloomer, covered in charming 3" rose-red and dark orange flowers with recurving back petals — a stunning contrast of warm colors that makes it a standout in any collection or hanging display.
