'Traisenblut' — "Traisen Blood" in German — is a Hildewintera hybrid of impressive scale and beauty. This is a huge, well-established plant with stems ranging from 10–12" to 24" long, with lots of new ones emerging — a cascading, trailing specimen that makes a dramatic statement in any hanging basket or elevated display.
A cross of H. 'Helms Neue' × H. 'Friedrich Ritter', hybridized by Dr. Irmfried Buchmann, it produces 3" blooms with rose-red inner petals and dark orange outer petals with a lighter orange midstripe — back petals recurving for an elegant, open form. A profuse bloomer in spring.
