Offer is for the RARE well rooted Trichocereus hybrid 'Pina Colada' plant shown in the last picture. Plant is 4” tall.
Trichocereus hybrid 'Pina Colada'-(Mex #570-1) has a 7" to 8" diameter bloom with inner petals dark pink to purplish petal edges, wide apricot-yellow with some salmon overlay mid stripe, slightly cupped inner petals, slightly ruffled petal edges. Next row of petals same with a wider mid stripe. Outer petals are apricot-light salmon with a narrow pinkish-purple edge. Anthers, stigma are yellow-golden colored with some dark pink colors in stamens. A cross of Echinopsis cv 'Indio Magic'(MEX #33) X Tricho. cv 'Flying Saucer'. Hybridized by world famous Echinopsis hybridizer Klaus-Peter Mügge of Germany. Growth: Dark green stem growth. Stem growth averages 4" to 5" in diameter and tall columnar form growth up to 2ft.+. Spines are golden yellow colored. Notes: Beautiful, good sized multi-colored blooms, clean looking growth. Fast grower & a good pupper or offset producer too! The stamens can vary in color from first open dark orange to almost red to pink by second day. On May 4th we recorder a bloom almost 7" in diameter, but still more to go for this season, beautiful multi-colored bloom! This hybrid was named after the sweet Piña colada cocktail drink.
